Data we process

Depending on the service, the following categories may be processed:

• Identity and contact details: name, phone number, email address.
• Health data: examination findings, treatment plans and records, X-rays, intraoral scans and photographs.
• Appointment and communication records: appointment dates and the content of messages with you.
• Financial information: invoices and payment records.
• Website usage data: technical data such as IP address, date and time kept in server logs to keep the website secure.

Purposes

Your data is processed to provide examination, diagnosis, treatment and care; to schedule appointments and communicate with you; to keep treatment records as required by law; to have restorations made by dental laboratories; for invoicing and legal obligations; and to keep the website secure.

Legal basis

• Health data is processed under Article 6(3) of the Law by persons bound by confidentiality for the purposes of medical diagnosis, treatment and care.
• Identity, contact, appointment and financial data is processed under Article 5(2) of the Law, because it is directly related to forming or performing a contract, necessary to comply with legal obligations, or necessary for legitimate interests.
• Where none of the legal grounds in the Law apply (for example using an image for promotion), your separate explicit consent would be required. This website does not publish patient images or patient reviews.

How data is collected

Data is collected in person at the practice, by phone, WhatsApp and email, through clinical devices used during your examination (X-ray, intraoral scanner, camera) and through website server logs, partly by automated and partly by non-automated means.

Who receives it

Where necessary and limited to the purposes above, data may be shared with:

• public authorities as required by law (for example Ministry of Health systems),
• dental laboratories that make your restorations (only the digital models and information needed),
• accounting and IT service providers.

Transfers that involve other countries are explained below.

Contact via WhatsApp

WhatsApp is operated by Meta Platforms and messages may be processed on servers outside Türkiye. The WhatsApp links on this site open a draft message so that you start the conversation. Please use this channel only for appointments and general questions, and do not share health details, X-rays or intraoral photos; these are reviewed at your appointment. If you prefer not to use WhatsApp, you can phone or email the practice.

Google Maps

The map in the contact section is provided by Google. We ask for your cookie choice on your first visit, and the map only loads if you accept or later press "Show map". When it loads, information such as your IP address is sent to Google and Google cookies may be set. See the Cookie Policy for details.

Retention

Treatment records are kept for the periods required by health legislation; other data is kept only as long as needed for its purpose and is then deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the Law you may ask whether your data is processed and request information about it; learn the purpose and whether it is used accordingly; know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred; ask for incomplete or inaccurate data to be corrected; ask for deletion or destruction under the conditions in the Law and for these actions to be notified to third parties; object to outcomes against you based solely on automated analysis; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

You can send requests in writing to the address above with information confirming your identity, or by email to contact@dogaerginoglu.com from an email address you have previously given the practice. Requests are answered free of charge within thirty days.
